EFR - Emergency First Respond

Learn how to save lives - not just when diving

The main focus of the PADI Emergency First Response course is to build your self-confidence and to give you the courage to help. As an emergency responder, you take care of the initial care of patients until the emergency services arrive. This training can not only save lives but is also extremely exciting and is carried out with lots of fun and games despite the important topic.

With the EFR course, you will not only learn first aid when diving but in general situations where help should be provided. Of course, we also already deal with the first aid for diving accidents and what diving accidents are. This course is the basic requirement to then be able to do your PADI Rescue Diver or for your way on becoming a PADI Professional.

What you will learn in the Emergency First Response course:

Primary Care:

In this course, you will learn the steps and techniques to provide appropriate help in life-threatening emergencies. You will learn and practice eight skills in the course to help patients who are not breathing, who do not have a heartbeat, who may have suffered a spinal injury, maybe in shock, or have excessive bleeding. In particular, you will learn the CPR technique and how to continually monitor a patient's condition to give them every possible chance to survive while waiting for emergency medical help to arrive

Secondary Care:
Many medical circumstances are not life-threatening, the arrival of emergency medical care is sometimes delayed, or such help is not available at all. Therefore, this course teaches you how to provide first aid to make the pain more bearable and reduce the risk of further harm. In this course, you will learn to assess various injuries and illnesses, and you will practice wound dressing and splinting.

eLearning
Beginn with the diving theory!

Start with PADI eLearning

With the PADI eLearning® system you can start with the theoretical part of the course and work at your own pace. This convenient, interactive learning option allows you to learn anytime, anywhere where you have an internet connection.

After completing your eLearning program, you can start directly with the practical part of the course with us (or in any other PADI diving school worldwide). We will deduct the amount paid for this from the course.

More information about the EFR Course:

We offer our courses in German, English, and French. We attach great importance to making you feel comfortable. We understand it's a big step, therefore, we always keep our groups as small as possible so that we can take enough time for each one.

How do I get to you?
In front of the dive centre there are free parking spaces and a bus station is only a 2 minute walk away. We also offer transportation from your hotel in the Pernera, Protaras, and Agia Napa region for a small extra cost.

Do I need my own equipment?
No - you do not need your own equipment for this course. We have everything on site.

Is the EFR course also valid for my car license?
Although the EFR course is a full first aid course, it is unfortunately not valid for the driving license exam.
